Each cottage benefits from a small end of garden mooring of about 19 feet in length. One of the best way to explore the Broads is by boat and the local area has many boatyards offering boat hire by the hour, day or a week or more. You can hire canoes, rowing dinghies, dinghies with outboard engines and larger motorised day boats, all within a short distance from your door.

If you wish to rent a motorised day boat for an extended period of a week or part week, we have negotiated special prices with Boulter Marine in Horning (01692 630498) , and whilst it does mean a very pleasant 1.25 hour cruise from Horning back to your cottage, the prices are the most competitive available locally and the size of these launches is perfect for mooring at the end of your cottage garden. Equipped with a back canopy which folds down completely to let you soak up the sun, or put up to provide shelter from rain. Please see the photos below for more details. Alternatively, you may prefer to rent a boat by the hour, half day or full day from any of the many boatyards within a short 5 minute walk of your cottage.

 Canoe Hire
Canoes can be hired locally from Barnes Brinkcraft (01603 782625) by the half day or day. Daily hire is from 10am to 5pm at a cost (2008) of £30 or for half a day (4 hours from 10am to 2pm)
at a cost of £20. Barnes Brinkcraft is located in Riverside Road, within 5 minutes walk from the cottages - cross over Wroxham Bridge and then turn right before Roy's and first right again.
Dinghy Hire - Ideal for fishing
Rowing dinghies can be hired from Horning (a 10 minute drive away) at a cost of £60 per week (2008) without an engine or £110 per week (2008) with an engine and tank of fuel. Please note that if you want to rent a dinghy for a few days and moor it at the end of your garden, travelling by motor boat from Horning to Wroxham takes around 1.25 hours (longer if you are rowing!).
